O/90957 Persian Khamseh 235cm x 173cm

Love a Khamseh and although low in places this one is filled with traditional motifs from the tribe.  Stylised flowers, peacocks, birds, dogs this rug is full of them.  A couple of well excuted previous repairs blend in well and the abrash or dye movement in the bottom border before the final skirt is just lovely. The rug is quite limited in palatte but the movement in its tonal quality reverberates throughout.
