Conservation

A rare or fragile rug or textile we may recommend to conserve as oppose to restore. At times over restoration can devalue a piece.  

For conservation of a textile we have a highly qualified expert we recommend and ask you to work direct.

For a rug or kilim this will usually require stabilising, then mounting onto a stretcher or framing for prosperity. At times simply sewing onto a backing cloth and hanging is all that’s required.
