An attractive early 1900s rug from the eastern Iran Belouch tribe. Typically, their rugs are smaller in size and darker in colour. This piece has a beautiful all over design with a field base that had it been older would have been in camel hair, hence one of the ways of aging this rug.
Low all over the design has been picked out and enhanced using textile tints which will not run, hence the great price for an antique rug.
