Rex Ray

For Rex Ray, the joy of making and weaving art was his continuous motivation. As a fine artist based in San Francisco, Rex Ray worked in a wide range of media, including painting, collage, print works, and photography. Rex's work exudes beauty with a subversive edge that stems from an attitude grounded in alternative subculture. His technique involved a complicated process that combined Xerography, handmade woodblock prints, newsprint, and magazine images into vibrant colour schemes with parabolic forms and abstract patterns.
