Late 19th Century Sarkoy Kilim. Woven in Turkey these kilims are fine, unique in design and quite different from the traditional geometric bold designs. Also known as Thracian kilims the stylised birds and trees and individual to this region. Decorative with the mid green border that flanks a deep indigo and cochinea, red field with 5 floating medallions. Quite a stunner and a great and unusual size.
