Antique Isfahan 211 x 139cm - Sold
Isfahan historically was the capitol of Persia and has famous and impressive architectural buildings including the Emam Mosque, central square and multiple palaces. Isfahan is in central Iran.
Here we see a beautiful example, in a soft rose palate with a large central medallion lifted by the ivory and soft blue tones. The deep dark floral border and corner spandrels help to accent the detail in the large scale floral motifs throughout.
Not the finest Isfahan like the Seraphian Isfahans but this is reflected in its price. This rug is a decorative piece with a ¼ repeat full of flowers and highly ornate standard for this region.
