Antique North Persian Tabriz Dairus and the lion

Unusual in colour this Antique Persian Tabriz is remeniscent in red of the Kerman region more.  Finely woven and highly illustrated this depicts Daniel and the lion whose den he was thrown into for defying a royal decree.  Yet Daniel was saved by God whi miraculously closed the lions mouth and then the accusers were thrown to the lion instead.
