Persian Zieglar Circa 1880 52cm xm 46cm

Just wow, I have had these cushions made from a collection of fragments from a much larger original Zieglar carpet.  Over 130 years old and the colours are still as strong as the day it was made.   Ziegler and Co. were the original company based in Sultanabad (Modern day Arak) in Iran.  Original Zieglars pushed the design one step further, slightly more open, used a soft western palatte and not quite as fussy.  Stunning
