Persian Zieglar Antique Cushion Circa 1890 46cm x 52cm

Just wow, over 130 years old and the colours are still as strong as the day it was made.  This is one of a few cushions which all come originally from a large carpet.   Ziegler and Co. were the original company based in Sultanabad (Modern day Arak) in Iran.  Original Zieglars pushed the design one step further, slightly more open, used a soft western palatte and not quite as fussy.  Stunning
