F23-1-4-13 Persian Nerriz

A low all over Karabagh design with large stylised flowers with diamonds linking between each bunch of flowers. Multiple borders of similar scale flank the field and alternate in design. They are lifted by the outer ivory and inner border which has a larger paisley motif and pairing of baby paisley which alternates with the geometric flowers and diamonds. Simple in palate with early chemical dyes. The outer edges have been rewhipped and more restoration could be carried out as required. An old ink stain does sit on one edge, I have not tried to remove it.
