F23-1-12-13 Early 20th Century Persian Bidjar Hand Woven Rug
A little low all over and could have some minor restoration to the ends this is otherwise a beautiful Bidjar. Bidjars are the heaviest woven of all rugs due to their weave and intense amount of beating. I always say to restore a Bidjar is like restoring a block of wood and to be prepared one may break 3 or 4 needles to make one pass. The soft rose palate with the ivory border is very decorative and desirable, the deep indigo medallions sit comfortably too.
