B24-2-27-28 Hand Woven Afghan Erasi Torba Grain Bag
Stunning old wool, only good quality wool has this lustre and velvety finish. Good natural dyes of madder and indigo, hand spun wool and strong geometric design synonymous to the Ersari tribe in Afghanistan. This torba or bag would have hung on the side of the camel while migrating and inside the yurt. Each bag shape is recognised for what it might carry and store. The tassles which would have hung along the bottom have worn in sections. Minor damage can be seen, this can be restored but at present is as it was from the tribesman.
