A big and bold design, capable of sitting either in a farmhouse, modern barn conversion or contemporary flat. Something this bold can hold its own anywhere.
Woven by the Kurds it has the simplified paisley motif in the borders with stunted corners. These are original and not cut to stop the flow.
Are they fields or pools of water being blue with floating images of people, plants and life around them? Look how in the border the 2 black motifs suddenly hold their own. A conscious change or mistake, or simply that’s the colour they had. Another great example of symmetry but not.
