From N.E. Iran the Hamadan region. This is a great example of a village rug on a cotton foundation (warp and weft) and a traditional layout with the central medallion, trellis work in the field, corner details and main medallion. I love the flowers in the bvorder which have a great variety in colour which to me shows the skill of the weaver as the eye is kept moving.
