A traditional all over traditional Afghan rug.  The small elephants foot or ‘gul’ design is traditional and here is shown in a small repeating format in a madder and natural sheep and camel colour format with minor hi lites in ivory and camel colour.  Older examples have camel hair in which later pieces becames dyed.
 
The primary and secondary guls are of equal scale with a thin line between creating an almost tile format t the carpet.  Would benefit from an underlay if on a hard floor due to the woollen foundation (warps and weft).
Warms up any snug, sitting room or dining room without demanding any attention.
