Afghan Tribal Blanket Runner
A stunningly fine fragment making a beautiful long narrow runner.  This piece is thought to be from a larger kilim as tends to be the norm, woven in hand spun wool, and good natural dyes which still retain their strength in colour as a good natural dye should. Traditional weaving patterns from this region have been used and spaced enabling lots of movement.  Fine in weave and flanked with a detailed skirt at either end of a plain ivory field.
Beautiful, would easily work with traditional or modern furniture in a narrow corridor or as a table runner. Old good quality restoration is visible.
