North East Persian Malayer

A stunning little well woven Malayer or seneh rug from the hamadan region of central Iran. A stylised version of the Herati or garden trellis design used a lot within carpets. The central medallion is surrounded by the deep indigo. Simple but affective palate. Some colour disfiguration which can be rectified and low in one corner again which can be worked on.
